Youth-on-the-Move Educational International Reunion
Youth-on-theMove held a reunion in Sacramento, Ca, in July 2010. The purpose was to bring together elder Hall of Famers and the youth to plan on-going activities. The oldest attendee was Mother Mohammed, aged 113, and the youngest was a 3 year old. Youths and seniors communicated together and shared ideas for the future.
There are plans for a Hall of Fame Museum, Archives, Library, Social Center and Guest House in Sacramento. Mr. Al Wilson, the Board Treasurer, announced the new Sacramento Headquarters of Youth-on-the-Move in Rancho Cordova, CA, beginning July 1, 2010.
The Sacramento Observer Newspaper sent a reporter to take photographs and to publish a story. Hall of Fame Educators Dr. Lorraine Boykin traveled from Memphis, TN, while Carolyn Stokes and Ida Dunson came from the San Francisco Bay Area--where there is also a a Bay Area Branch of the Hall of Fame for Educator.
It was a fun weekend. The founder is Dr. Patricia Adelekan, DTM
